Why does roof repair cost more per square foot than replacement?

Small repairs have fixed overhead — crew setup, disposal, return trips — that doesn't scale down with the job size. A 50-square-foot patch job carries the same minimum crew time as a 200-square-foot job. That's why a per-square-foot price comparison can mislead. Look at the total job cost instead.

Will repair void my existing roof warranty?

Depends on the roof's age and the original installer. Some manufacturers require certified installers for warranty-covered repairs. We'll check what warranty applies before we touch the work — and we'll tell you honestly if a repair by us would affect coverage with the original installer.

Can a roof be repaired in the rain?

Emergency tarping can happen in light rain. Permanent shingle and flashing work has to wait for dry conditions — wet adhesive doesn't bond properly, and crew safety on a wet roof drops fast. We'll tarp to stop active leaks and schedule the permanent repair as soon as weather allows.

Will my insurance cover roof repair?

Depends on the cause. Storm damage (wind, hail, falling debris) is typically covered. General wear and tear is not. We'll inspect, document what we find the way adjusters expect to see it, and tell you whether a claim makes sense before you file one.
